Dave Matthews Band's Greatest Hits?

As a huge Dave Matthews Band fan/nerd, I get all kinds of emails from the band via its mailing list and the Warehouse, the official fan club. This past weekend I got one which read like this:

Dave Matthews Band will be releasing a Greatest Hits record in the near future in order to fulfill an obligation to their label, RCA Records. In order to shape the Greatest Hits combination of studio/live songs into the best possible release, DMB would like to gather feedback from its dedicated fan base. We have created a survey where you may select up to 10 of your favorite DMB songs. You may also include a show date next to the song choice if you have a favorite from a live show. Please click here to fill out the survey. We look forward to receiving your top ten favorite songs and thank you for your time and valuable feedback!
First of all, it seems an awful lot to me like DMB loathes the idea of putting out a Greatest Hits album - they hint at that distaste in their near-apologetical "in order to fulfill an obligation to their label" language. On the other hand, they do give the fans a chance to vote, which I appreciate. Not only do the fans get to vote, but if there's a particular show where the live version of the song really blew your mind, you can pick that song as your favorite version.

If you want to vote, you can follow the link above. Here, in alphabetical order, were my picks:

Big Eyed Fish
Cry Freedom (1/26/99 - Dave Matthews & Tim Reynolds at Cornell University)
Don't Burn The Pig (9/7/02 - The Gorge)
Granny (9/11/99 - Listener Supported)
Jimi Thing (9/11/99 - Listener Supported)
Louisiana Bayou
The Space Between
Warehouse (9/7/02 - The Gorge)

It wasn't available as a choice, because it's a cover and not a DMB original, but Long Black Veil is right up there, and I would have bumped one of these in favor of the Listener Supported version.

I'm really looking forward now to the 8/25 and 8/28 shows, my annual DMB fix.
